THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MEN & WOMEN

I. the difference between men and women,
from Adam and Eve 'til today,
is that men have a serious mission
to do things in a practical way.
riding the range with some dogies
or driving a truck in L.A.,
from here to Japan
they'll hire a man
to do things in a practical way.
II. man is a builder of houses
and trolleys that run on the track.
woman is sewing up blouses
with buttons that button in back.
smiling and wearing her make-up,
a fine work of art on display.
all over the world
they won't send a girl
to do things in a practical way.
III. one time when I was a hippie,
rednecks cut off all my hair.
then I put on ballet slippers
and danced while the bullies would glare.
math majorettes were all lonely.
nobody asked them to play.
the boys made the scores,
the girls were all whores.
that's the traditional way.
ENDING: one side of the fence or the other,
that's where they'd like us to play.
successful old fools
bless the old rules
that stand in the practical way.
