In September 1993, there was a big two-day rockabilly festival at the Mayfair Theatre in Santa Monica. Ray's set was the highlight of the affair. Other performers included Rip Masters, Tony Conn, Johnny Legend, Russell Scott & the Red Hots, the Hyperions, and many, many more.
