PRISM FACE
WORDS & MUSIC: Earl P. Reinhalter
I. have you seen the prism light - every angle another hue, one for every point of you? hemispheres of day and night, Atlas overseeing a world of different meanings? like a great art, every day starts with a new interpretation. like an ancient sacred doctrine: every man a new religion. and could I have a prism face, crystal hologram in space? you might love me if you saw me... if you saw me. II. the face that launched a thousand ships and sent them on a thousand trips - how could anybody leave her? on muddy shores, the puddle clouds the shifting shallow life of shrouds. but all is deep to a believer. like a great art, every day starts with a new interpretation. like an ancient sacred doctrine: every man a new religion. and could I have a prism face, crystal hologram in space? you might love me if you saw me. you'd answer me before I ask what's the meaning of the mask? but will you ever really know me?
