I LOVE THE DAY
WORDS & MUSIC: Earl P. Reinhalter
I. I love the day
when nothing really matters but the sun.
let the bills and letters go without an answer.
they will all be taken care of
some other day.
II. I'm all alone.
but lonely can't compete with feeling free.
now and then I feel like half a couple;
that is when I think that I would rather
be completely me.
III. I'm at a loss.
it's like I died and left my cares behind.
free of all your expectations,
I can't figure why I must expire
in order
to feel alive.
ENDING: I love the day.
I love the day.
I love the day.
